Dear Rose Drive Families,
On behalf of the Rose Drive Staff, welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I hope you that your summer has been pleasant and restful and that this letter finds you in great health. By now you have received communication from our district that Mrs. Dailey has retired. I am very honored and privileged to be your new principal and work alongside our wonderful staff and support teams that make Rose Drive an amazing place to be. I have been in education for 14 years as a 3rd, 5th, 6th grade teacher, Teacher on Special Assignment and Assistant Principal. I received my Masters degree from Pepperdine University and have presented at the Computer Using Educators Conference twice. I look forward to meeting many of you on Wednesday, August 22nd at Yogurtland from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.for an informal meet and greet with the new principal. I look forward to a successful year as we continue to provide a year filled with of lots of learning and fun.

The summer break will soon come to an end and I hope that you enjoy it in company of family and friends. Here are some important dates to keep in mind as you prepare for the new school year:
- Monday, August 27th: Class Placements will be emailed at 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, August 28th : First Day of School, School hours for 1st-5th Grade: 7:50-2:15 p.m.
Preppy K & Kindergarten student hours are 7:50 a.m. to 11:10 a.m. for Early Birds &
9:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. for Late Birds.
- Thursday, August 30th: Back to School Night 6:00-7:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a Welcome and PTA information at 6:00 p.m. in our Multipurpose Room and classroom presentations from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Our school office will open at 7:15 a.m. daily. Children may not be dropped off at school prior to 7:35 a.m., as there will not be adult supervision until that time.
On the first week of school, you will receive a Thursday Mailbag and handouts which will go out weekly with communication. Please take the time to read these so that you will know our school’s policies and procedures. Call our office if you have any questions and or concerns. Everyone on staff is here to make your child’s experience a positive and rewarding one. I look forward to getting to know all our Rose Drive families.
